Stuff your furry friend

(Cheap, meaningless mansex. Not for everyone.)

From Roger Klorese today, a commercial sign from his posting past (thanks to timehop, which provides photos from your history):

The (innocent) reference is to making your own stuffed toy, but then there’s a sexual verb stuff ‘screw, fuck’ and furry available to refer to (gay) bears (as well as to people in the furry subculture), and when you have people standing in line for the event, it sounds like a gangbang. Let’s all screw JoeBear!

Stuff Your Furry Friend, Build a Bear. The former is a party supply and rental shop in Blackpool, England, with toy-stuffing classes for kids. It’s all very sweet. Their logo:

The second is Build a Bear Workshops, kits for building furry friends of various sorts. Entertaining projects, many of them in rainbow patterns, for instance:

Furry fandom. From Wikipedia:

The furry fandom is a subculture interested in fictional anthropomorphic animal characters with human personalities and characteristics. Examples of anthropomorphic attributes include exhibiting human intelligence and facial expressions, speaking, walking on two legs, and wearing clothes. Furry fandom is also used to refer to the community of people who gather on the Internet and at furry conventions [usually in animal costume].

Bear culture. Bears are altogether different from furries; for some discussion of (gay) bear culture, see my 5/25/10 posting “Waltzing with bears”.

The metaphorical penetration verb stuff. See my 10/19/15 posting “Rafe on display” for this sexual verb.

This takes us into a world where bears might have bear buddies (their furry friends) who like to get stuffed, maybe even by a whole line of guys.

As for anal sex with your teddy bear, that’s a private matter between the two of you, so long as it’s consensual. And don’t share your toys with buddies without permission.

    Fro Aric Olnes on Facebook:

There used to be a [Build-A-Bear Workshop] on Potrero Hill here in SF where I stuffed a chef bear for [Mike Thomas] many years ago. I think there is still one in San Mateo, CA.

    Yes, in Hillsdale Shopping Center:

And from Bob Boutwell on Facebook:

There still is the Vermont Teddy Bear Company in Shelbourne, VT. If you want, you can join their pre-FUR’d member club.

    Ouch.
