… the slogan from a Funny Times magazine t-shirt ($30):
(#1) [FT‘s ad copy:] Embrace the sweet irony of this nostalgic candy-themed tee! It’s a Funny Times exclusive and perfect for thoughtful candy lovers
The model for the shirt:
Now, lots of background.
My state. Repeated from a 9/27 posting of mine:
This is today’s Mary, Queen of Scots, Not Dead Yet posting. Not dead, and in many ways in great good health, but severely afflicted by painful osteoarthritism that makes it hard for me to walk and my left hand almost useless.
I have a large number of complex postings in my queue now, but I have no idea when I’ll be able to get them polished for publication.
The candy. From Wikipedia:
(#3) [AZ:] The classic candy, a great favorite of mine from childhood; not only a source of pleasure, but local — I grew up not far from Hershey PAReese’s Peanut Butter Cups are an American candy by The Hershey Company consisting of a peanut butter cup encased in chocolate. They were created on November 15, 1928, by H. B. Reese, a former dairy farmer and shipping foreman for Milton S. Hershey. Reese left his job with Hershey to start his own candy business. Reese’s are the top-selling candy brand worldwide, with more than $2 billion in annual sales generated for The Hershey Company.
Funny Times. From Wikipedia:
Funny Times (FT) is an American humor newspaper founded in 1985 … FT‘s political content is often subversive and has a progressive / liberal perspective.
… The monthly Funny Times publication is printed in the format of a daily newspaper, on newsprint paper, with each of the 24 pages measuring 11 X 17 inches. The only ads it runs are for its own FT-related merchandise.
… Each issue includes cartoons, columns and essays that derive humor from pop culture, current events, politics and day-to-day living.
I’ve extracted a great many cartoons and bits of humor writing for postings on this blog.

Peanut butter cups are Henry’s favorite. I got him pajamas with the Reese’s design and I believe he went as a package for Halloween once.
