It’s all about men’s crotches, but it’s not actually X-rated; but, but … it is about crotches and their contents. Adam in a jockstrap, Adam in a rubber.
Adam in a jockstrap: the jock with ribbed pouch. The Daily Jocks mailing of today (8/15):
(#1) 40% off DJX Luxe [style name] ribbed jocks (in black, white, and navy)
Classic Bike jocks are ribbed because the pouch is an elastic / stretch fabric for which ribbing is a central feature; but there are non-ribbed stretch fabrics, and plenty of non-stretch jock fabrics (the basic item is a just a cloth pouch). I don’t know that ribbed fabric is more comfortable than flat, though if you’re a guy who inconspicuously grabs his crotch as a thoughless gesture — huge numbers of men do; I do so myself occasionally — you might find the ribbing pleasing to your touch. And of course it could be seen as an invitation for others to touch your package.
Adam in a rubber: ribbed condoms. From my 10/9/16 posting “Briefly noted: ribbed for her pleasure”:
(about condoms for a man pronging a woman) Ribbed, studded, and other textured condoms are widely advertised as providing more pleasure for women. Anecdotal reports suggest that some women get no pleasure from them (even finding them irritant), and some get considerable pleasure from them, while men strongly prefer no condoms or extra-thin ones.
I do not speak for the Congress of Catamites, but this one thinks he’d find them an irritant to the lining of his rectum. Though a ribbed tip might stimulate his prostate pleasantly. (I am, alas, no longer able to do field research on this question.)
