Today’s story starts with my coming across Face 1 below (from a Lucas Films photo), on the cover art for the gay porn DVD London Spunked.

We are all attentive to faces: we usually look at them first when we view a scene with figures in it, we check them to see if they’re familiar, we try to interpret their facial expressions, and so on. In this case, I think that, in any context whatsoever, on a quick view I’d have identified Face 1 as belonging to the same person as Face 2, a face I know very well (as a favorite actor in gay porn):

The two men have the same hair style and facial hair style, though #2 is darker and longer in both respects, but that could be just a temporary matter of grooming. #2’s skin tone is more golden-brown than #1’s pale skin, but that could just be tanning, or the lighting of the photos. #2 has a furry chest (visible at the neckline), while #1 is smooth, but that could just be a matter of trimming (in fact, the guy in #1 is not very furry, but keeps his chest trimmed down but not actually smooth, while the guy is #2 is naturally furry as above, but often trims his chest hair in similar fashion.
But then, but then …
Then things diverge. Just sticking to what we can see in the photos above, the men have different ears and different noses, in small but significant ways (#1’s ears are virtually lobeless, #2’s nose is wide). And it turns out that their skin tones really are quite different; #2 is Cuban-American, #1 French (but living in England).
Once you see more of their bodies, you see that #1 is tall (6ʹ) and rangy, while #2 is short (5ʹ8ʺ) and compact. And then there are the tattoos. In his early days in porn, #2 had no large-scale tattoos; here he is in a shoulder harness at the Folsom Street Fair (in SF) in May 2010:

spunk. On this blog, on the noun, with its three prominent senses: ‘pluck’ (which Mary Tyler Moore as Mary Richards famously had and Ed Asner as Lou Grant famously hated); ‘tinder’; and ‘semen’ — astonishingly, they share an etymology:

Somewhat surprisingly, except for the porn flick title in #5 (which is a play on words; see below), the ‘semen’ noun seems not to have been verbed, though various uses would be available, including these three:
‘ejaculate’ (intransitive, like come): He spunked in Joey’s mouth / all over Joey’s face / in his pants / copiously and noisily
‘ejaculate on or in’ (transitive with location object, like cream): He spunked my ass ‘He ejaculated on my ass’ OR ‘He ejaculated in my ass’, He spunked his pants
the telic counterpart to an activity verb meaning ‘pedicate, bugger, have anal intercourse with, fuck up the ass’ (so: perform the act to ejaculation) (transitive with human object, like seed and breed for some speakers): He spunked me in a few minutes (vs. He fucked / buggered me for a few minutes, but he never came)
All three event types are amply illustrated in London Spunked. After all, in porn flicks, the convention is that everybody comes, so there’s spunk all over the place. However, with the telic ass-fuck verb spunk, there’s a usage issue.
A central convention of porn movies is that ejaculation should be visible; the (male) viewer should see the fountain of spunk. As a result a fucker plugs away at his task, regularly pulling out far enough so that viewers can see his hard thrusting cock, but when he senses that coming is imminent, he pulls out and finishes himself off by hand, in gay porn usually coming onto his bottom’s ass, as close to his asshole as is safe. (In some bareback flicks, an adept fucker will manage to come on his bottom’s asshole and then, as soon as the gush of spunk is visible, will plunge his cock back in, so that he’ll finish his shooting within his bottom’s body. The point is to let the bottom feel the spasms of a cock shooting within his body — and for some bottoms, for them to get a load of cum within their bodies (which some men find symbolically very powerful: I have made the essence of my fucker’s masculinity part of my body, absorbed him into me).
Now let’s creep up on the usage issue. Suppose Lance slides his rock-hard cock into my asshole and rams it into me for a while, to our intense mutual satisfaction, then for whatever reasons loses his hard-on and pulls out without coming.
