A promotional calendar for the Amazon Prime show was sent out to the press this week and March has sent the internet into a tizzy. Crawford, who plays Kevin/The Deep, is in his very tight superhero suit and it didn’t go unnoticed.

Not something that happens by accident. In any case, a presentation that clearly shifts CC in category from cute guy (attractive to girls because male sexual danger is largely masked by friendly boyish playfulness) to sex hunk (where the attractions of adult sexual connection are up front and have to be balanced against the possibility of male aggression). In #1 we confront the erect penis as a tool of female sexual pleasure vs. its symbolic potential as a weapon and a threat.

I’ve been watching THE BOYS, and also was a compulsive watcher of GOSSIP GIRL. Still, when the subject of CC in THE BOYS came up at the motss.con, I was nonplussed because I was sure I would have recognized the actor if I had seen him in that show. Reading this, I had an “aha!” experience. Still, even looking at these photos, I’d have trouble identifying the subject as the same person in both vehicles. He’s still extraordinarily good looking…just not with the same face (imho), even accounting for aging.

Well, he deliberately re-made his physique and his appearance, to become in effect a new person. Very startling.
