The last pieces of the Penguin Drive-In’s legacy are up for sale. [It’s been closed since July.]

A public sale for the former Plaza-Midwood eatery’s assets will take place starting at 9 a.m. Jan. 5. It will run through noon on Jan. 9. That includes the restaurant’s equipment, such as kitchen utensils, a refrigerator, juke box and chairs, which are being sold “as is.” The burger joint’s trademark, web site domain and social media accounts also are up for grabs.
