Today’s Wayno / Piraro Bizarro offers a pun using the available resources sparingly: piñata coladas — piña coladas as made by (anthropomorphized) piñatas:

The resources. First, from NOAD:
noun piña colada: cocktail made with rum, pineapple juice, and coconut [ORIGIN: Spanish, literally ‘strained pineapple’]
Then, in my 10/15/18 posting “Piñata under the gun”, a section on the piñata. [ORIGIN: mid 19th century Spanish, literally ‘pot’ — (AMZ:) possibly a metaphorical pineapple]
It’s pineapples, plus pomegranates, all the way down (or in the case of grenades, all the way blown up).
(Now I admit that the cartoon has sent my wandering mind to vistas of My Little Pony, soused on rum)

I assumed that the Columbian litany of the Niña, the Pinta, and the Santa Maria would be familiar to my readers, but only because in grade school (in Pennsylvania, about 70 years ago) we were were regularly obliged to line it out, as a piece of American political scripture. I now suspect that things have been different in other places at other times.
