(Underwear models in, well, nothing but underwear, with plain talk about their bodies, so not to everyone’s taste.)
From the folks at Daily Jocks in yesterday’s e-mail, this ad for the company’s racy DJX underwear:
(#1) The model is posed performing a Gaze Downward in Self-Regard, his attention riveted on his dick and balls, clearly outlined in his DJX briefs, his fingertips lightly brushing again his thighs — a sculptural form made with a living human body
The model himself is lean and fit, but not body-builder hunky, a “regular guy” that viewers (and potential customers — remember that this is an ad) might easily identify with. (Works for me: (as an analyst of visual art) I admire the composition, and (as a gay man) I think the guy is hot.)
The Gaze Downward. The pose has been the subject of a number of postings on this blog over the years; in particular, my 2/20/19 posting “News for penises: notes on phallophilia” has a section on the Gaze Downward in Self-Regard, on
guys — underwear or porn models — staring fixedly down at their own hard cocks (or, at least, their bulging crotches)
Among the examples in that posting:
