A follow-up to yesterday’s posting about men in harnesses, which added shoulder / holster harnesses and Y harnesses to cross / X harnesses and bulldog harnesses: mail from a Facebook friend with a photo of two boyfriends in rope harnesses:
(For filing purposes, I’ve decided that harnesses count as clothing. Well, you wear them.)
You could think of these things as advanced macramé for the body.
My friend’s comments:
One of my favourite harnesses is the “Oriental Rope Dress” which I learned to tie from a Canadian submariner. You start with fifty feet of 5/8″ rope [scotch braid nylon is his favorite] – a kind that feels nice next to your skin, and you end up with this beautiful harness.
Good nylon rope doesn’t chafe or burn, and feels silky.
