Two recent Zippys on art: modesty in figure drawing, style morphing:
Note the titles; as is usual in Zippy, they are plays on words. “Bar None” has the idiom bar none ‘with no exceptions’, but the bars in the strip are the black bars of modesty, covering the model’s naughty bits. “Basil Metabolism” is a pun on basal metabolism, making reference to the cartoonist Basil Wolverton (see here for some of Wolverton’s grotesque caricatures).
