This is couched as advice about improving a story you’re writing — by introducing preposterous or merely very unlikely characters. However, it bears a family resemblance to another Jetpack cartoon, in a Gauld series (see my 2/27/21 posting “Gauld on adaptations for the screen”):

My suggestions of some other possibilities: amnesia subplot; wise-cracking best friend; Middle Eastern or Chinese assassin; car chases.
Obviously, amnesia is a high priority.

Famously Paul Wittgenstein (Ludwig’s brother). Some of the left-hand piano works he commissioned entered the general repertoire, and some were useful to Leon Fleisher during the time he was unable to use his right hand.

I have noticed that an awful lot of the plots in the British detective series Midsomer Murders (or at least, enough of them for me to have noticed) hinge on surprise revelations about paternity.
