The pink crown identfies the speaking penguin as female, and she addresses the other penguin as Alan, so that one’s male. And she’s performing an aggrieved female partner routine — aggrieved that her man has given her, as a present, something to aid her in performing household duties, “w0men’s work”. In this case, a bread maker.
