Now attacking the classical music CDs, bit by bit. Two huge categories (piano music and chamber music), one large one (symphonies), and a smaller collection of vocal music, which I’ve divided into two collections of about 25 discs each, now on offer: #17, small-scale works (songs, lieder), and #18, larger-scale works (up to opera size).
The ground rules again: each offer comes as a package, all or nothing: we’re ready to mail out a package for the cost of mailing and no more. If you want a collection, SEND E-MAIL to me (arnold.zwicky@gmail.com). With your postal address. Kim Darnell (drdcrunk.gmail.com) will then make arrangements for mailing and billing. (PLEASE PLEASE don’t reply as a Facebook comment or message or a WordPress comment, since this offer is going out in multiple places.)
You can ask for either collection or both.
#17: lieder written by Brahms, Canteloube, Simon Holt, Mahler, Schubert, Richard Strauss, John Tavener, Villa-Lobos, and Hugo Wolf; songs performed by Kathleen Battle, Thomas Hampson, Chanticleer, the Sine Nomine Singers; and more
#18: selections from operettas; selections from operas; the Mozart Requiem, the Verdi Requiem, Brahms’s German Requiem, the Schumann Requiem für Mignon and Das Paradies und die Peri, the Handel Ode for St. Cecilia’s Day, the Purcell Ode for St. Cecilia’s Day, some Bach cantatas; Mozart’s Magic Flute (Drottingham Court Theatre) and Figaro (Metropolitan Opera); the Bach Mass in B Minor, two Haydn masses, the Rossini Petite Messe Solenelle
