The three used are all pronounced differently. Some people distinguish unstressed /I/ from /@/, but not many. I would have offered Christine as a possible fourth.

For me, Christine has a long E (iː) in the final syllable, which makes it immediately distinguishable from Kristen/Kristin, which would indeed sound alike to me.
