Recent news: Our Overlord Grabpussy (POTUS 45 + 47) is suspected of cheating at golf. For instance, in the Guardian, the story “‘Dodgy looking’ clip of Tr**p playing golf in Scotland sparks cheating debate: Video appears to show aide dropping ball in favourable position, as golf fans say it is a bad look for the sport” by Steven Morris on 8/1/25.
This is in not even slightly news.
Back in 2019, Rick Reilly published Commander in Cheat: How Golf Explains Tr**p in 2019 — a book, at once appalling and enormously funny, showing that Drumpf always cheats at golf, reflexively, whether it would be necessary or not, in flagrant violation of the much-treasured conventions of the sport, apparently as a way of ensuring that he will always win:
He cheats all the time because one of his many pathologies — he’s a serpents-nest of pathologies — is that he is always a winner, in everything, never a loser. He also never admits to making a mistake, even the most ordinary of speech errors. And he is never sick. Because only losers are bested in games and conflicts, make mistakes, and submit to illness, and he is not a loser, cannot be a loser, must not be a loser.
And so, from the point of view of ordinary, non-pathological folk, he lies and cheats about everything, all the time. Some of the things he raves about appear to follow from explicit beliefs: his distress at soldiers killed in warfare, for example, or his wild animus towards wind turbines. But much of his behavior seems beyond his awareness or conscious control. Can he really be said to be lying, or even bullshitting, about his various performances and accomplishments?
