Just reported by Larry Horn on ADS-L: brony.
That’s bro + pony (as in My Little Pony): a grown man who’s a fan of the television show and the toys. See “Meet ‘bronies’ — grown men who are fans of My Little Pony” (here) and “My Little Pony Corrals Unlikely Fanboys Known as ‘Bronies’” (here).
Apparently very big in Portland and Seattle, a fact that led Larry to suggest brony as a candidate for “least likely to succeed” in the Word of the Year competitions at the ADS meetings this January — in Portland.

I’ve heard the show is definitely very big with Portland college students.
