On the heels of my posting on Ken Ryker and penis size comes a sale offer from Falcon / Raging Stallion Studios — apparently not tied to a holiday, as so many porn sales are, however inappropriately — on big dick videos:
Nice playful pile-up of synonyms for (very) big. Some of these items recur in the names of porn films featuring big dicks.
NOAD2’s thesaurus listing for expressions in the hugeness domain:
ENORMOUS, huge, vast, immense, large, big, great, massive, colossal, prodigious, gigantic, gargantuan, mammoth, monumental; giant, towering, elephantine, mountainous, monstrous, titanic; epic, Herculean, Brobdingnagian; informal jumbo, mega, monster, king-size(d), economy-size(d), oversize(d), super-size(d), whopping, humongous, honking, hulking, astronomical, cosmic, ginormous.
Not all of these are suited for porn use; some are too formal or literary (prodigious, Herculean, Brobdingnagian), some evoke imagery that doesn’t fit well with penises (titanic, mountainous, elephantine, cosmic), some are too silly in tone (honking, hulking).
On the list of films on sale, some are in series featuring big dicks: the totally unsubtle My Big Fucking Dick series, featuring specific porn actors known for their cock size; Humongous Cocks, compilations of big-dick scenes from porn flicks; Men of Massive, each film a compilation of scenes featuring a particular pornstar or pair of pornstars (massive here looks like a nouning); and Big As They Come. Two occurrences of big, one humongous, and one massive. Individual films on offer include a few with titles focused on size (Big Dick Club, Maximus), but most have big-dicked actors in films with other themes, especially anal sex (From Top to Bottom, with tops ostensibly bottoming for the first time, Party in the Rear, Tailpipes).
All in all, the simple adjective big seems to be by far the size adjective of choice in the film titles, with more extravagant expressions reserved for occasional special effect.
